Department of electrical engineering organized an industrial visit at “SEMICON INDIA 2023” Mahatma Mandie, Sector 13C, Gandhinagar, Gujarat-382016 on 26/07/2023 to enhance technical knowledge and real industrial exposure to students. 

The 'SemiconIndia 2023' is being organized by India Semiconductor Mission in partnership with industry and industry associations under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the aim to make India a global hub for Semiconductor Design, Manufacturing and Technology Development which will help propel the vision of India Semiconductor Mission.

Entry was given to students after complete security checking in the event at Mahatma Mandir. There were around 60 different stalls in the exhibition. Prestigious Engineering Institutes (IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IISc Bangalore, etc.) and many universities (Ganpat University, Nirma university, etc.) have placed their stalls in the exhibition.

Many industries (Centre for Development of Advance Computation(C-DAC), RIR Power Electronics limited, NXP Semiconductors, Highness Microelectronics PVT. LTD. and more) have also participated in exhibitions and represented the emerging technologies on which they are working and trying to bring to market. By visiting such industrialist students got motivated and also gained ideas for entrepreneurship and major projects.

There were many exhibition stalls by government organizations e.g. Ministry of IT and telecommunication, Uttar Pradesh IT cell to explain the applications of new semiconductor technologies in development of state, application in space in collaboration with ISRO and so others.
