Greetings from Ganpat University - U.V. Patel College of Engineering. 

I welcome all the stakeholders – Students, Parents and Industries, to strengthen our hands and support us in our mission of “Vidhya Samajo-Utkarsh”. We, faculty and staff of UVPCE, are committed to fulfilling dreams and aspirations of young students who are joining the Institute to become Engineers. We believe Engineers are makers of history. The ideal engineer is neither a scientist nor a mathematician but he/she may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all of these disciplines in solving engineering problems for the benefits of society. 

Engineering means applied to science. Engineers are problem solvers; they are creators of basic utilities and facilities for the society, businesses, Governments or military. Engineers may involve in planning, design, fabrication, construction, erection, commissioning and testing of industrial plant, machinery, power plants, bridges, airports or dam, water supply scheme, water or wastewater treatment plant or telecommunication network, aircraft, ship, submarine or electronic appliances like T.V. radio, mobile phone, medical equipment or satellite, space shuttle, missile, etc. Just imagine, whatever you are using in day-to-day life, there is the involvement of engineers. 

So Dear Students, get ready to make your contribution in the task of Nation building by preparing yourselves to become Engineers who can be leaders in their profession with vision, zeal, passion, confidence and with excellent knowledge & necessary skills to succeed. We wish you have an exciting and life-changing experience of 4 years on the campus. 

We request all parents to support in whatever manner possible in our efforts to provide the best Engineering education and all-round development of students. 

All industries professionals are requested to cooperate by way of sharing your experience with students, helping in training and placement, by referring to industrial problems which required innovative solutions.

Dr. Kiran Amin stands as a trailblazing academic leader, currently serving as the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor & Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Ganpat University. With an impressive background in Engineering and technology, he has amassed over 29 years of rich experience in the fields of academia and research. Holding a doctoral degree in Data Mining, coupled with Master's and Undergraduate degrees in Computer Engineering, Dr. Kiran's profound expertise forms the cornerstone of his impactful leadership.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Kiran has demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for enhancing academic and research programs. His instrumental efforts have led to the establishment of state-of-the-art laboratories, particularly in areas such as Computer Engineering, Marine Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, 5G, Artificial Intelligence, VLSI and IoT. Notably, under his guidance, Marine Engineering courses attained a prestigious A1 grading in the country, garnering approval from the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India. Furthermore, his visionary approach has led to the creation of industry-focused programs encompassing Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy, Robotics, and more.

Dr. Kiran's contributions extend beyond the academic sphere, as evidenced by his active involvement in innovative initiatives like Digital India, Green Campus, and Societal Activities in nearby rural communities. His collaborative approach is highlighted by affiliations with renowned industry giants such as RedHat, Bosch Rexroth, Bosch India, e-infochips, NASSCOM, Stratasys, and IBM. His significant leadership roles within IEEE, including Chair and Vice Chair of IEEE Gujarat Section, underscore his commitment to advancing technological exploration and international collaboration.

Dr. Kiran's career includes an active publication record of research papers in international and national conferences and journals. Notably, he has also authored computer subject textbooks for the Gujarat Secondary Education Board. His membership in the Board of Governors and Academic Council of Ganpat University further exemplifies his dedication to academic governance. Dr. Kiran Amin's global perspective is demonstrated by his international alumni engagement efforts and his visits to various countries. His many contributions to his academic discipline and professional associations make him a frequent speaker.
