Dr.C.P.Jawahar has completed his Masters Degree in Energy Engineering from National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli in 2000 and hold a Ph.D. (full time) in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2011. He is a Certified Energy Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India and also GHG Accounting Lead Verifier by TUV SUD South Asia Pvt. Ltd. His total experience is 25 years including administrative experience of 15 years in the capacity as IQAC Coordinator, Head of the Department, Principal and Dean.

He has completed 3 Swayam Prabha DTH Projects at IIT Kanpur and IIT Tirupati, under Ministry of Education, in which 75 hours of e-content were developed for 3 courses. He has 65 research papers put together in reputed Journals (Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Springer and Sage) and Conferences held in India and abroad. All his journal research papers are indexed either in Scopus or Web of Science or both. He has completed 2 research and development projects to the tune of INR 91.35 lakhs and 4 industrial consultancy projects worth INR 10.76 lakhs. 4 research scholars have completed Ph.D. under his supervision and he has 6 patents (2 published and 4 filed) apart from 2 copyright to his credit. He has been inducted into the editorial board as Associate Editor in Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering published by Sage indexed in Web of Science (SCI).

He is an active member of the professional society “Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE)” and was the President of ISHRAE Coimbatore Chapter during the society year 2018-19. He is a Distinguished Lecturer (DL) of ISHRAE and has delivered 50 guest lectures in academics and industry forums.
