Grievance Redressal

Grievance: Students are the main stakeholder in any university. Student growth and development is the top priority of the University. If a student has any grievance, it is taken up seriously by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the University has evolved an elaborate system of grievance redressal.

The grievances may broadly include complaints of the aggrieved students in relation to academic, non-academic, attendance, charging of fees, regarding conducting of examinations, assessment, victimisation, harassment by colleague students or teachers, etc.

Grievance Redressal Committees are constituted at the department, institute, and university level to deal with the grievances of the students.

An aggrieved student who has any grievances at the department/area level shall make an application first to the department/area chairperson. If the student is not satisfied with the verdict or solution, then the same can be placed before the department/area level committee. If the student is still not satisfied with the decision, he can submit an appeal to the institute level committee within a week’s time of the date of receipt of the reply from the department level committee. The student can further approach at the university level committee within a week from the date of receipt of decision with all the relevant details.

Under such circumstances, on approval by Director General the final decision is communicated to the student through the respective Head of the Institute.
