Biomedical Engineering

Since the inception of B.Tech [Biomedical Engineering] course in 2001, the department of Biomedical Engineering is well posed to cater the needs of the course. It is equipped with well-developed laboratories to satisfy the course curriculum of various subjects related especially to the Biomedical Engineering field. The laboratories are well equipped and accommodated in the space area as per AICTE norms.

The faculty members are highly related to the course curriculum in Biomedical Engineering subjects by their qualifications and experience. Besides this the supporting core subjects related to Electronics, Computer Programming and Control Engineering are taught in the context of biomedical applications.

Apart from the regular academic teaching activity, the department regularly invites visiting faculties which involves Physicians, Surgeons, Experts from Industries and hospitals. The department also regularly arranges  expert lectures, hospital and industrial visits and training, as well as Technical fair visit to empower the knowledge.

The Biomedical Engineering Department imparts knowledge to the students and prepares them to play an important role when they go to field jobs, to aid human health services. They maintain and operate the role code of practice of Hospital equipments, standards and testing, safety regulation and patient’s data recording.
