Electronics & Communication

Established in 1998, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was founded to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the dynamic fields of electronics and communication. The curriculum is meticulously designed to align with current industry requirements, ensuring our students are well-prepared to meet real-world challenges.

Our students regularly undertake project work in prestigious organizations such as the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Institute of Plasma Research (IPR), Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Sibridge Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), eInfochips etc. Beyond academics, students of the department actively participate and excel in various national-level technical competitions.

Electronics and Communication Engineering offers vast career prospects. With initiatives like “Digital India” and “Make in India” gaining momentum, students have a significant opportunity to contribute to the country’s technological advancement. Both the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India have introduced new electronics policies that are expected to generate numerous opportunities for skilled engineers. The advent of 5G and emerging technologies continues to create promising avenues for EC graduates, who have consistently secured placements in leading companies.

The department is supported by a highly qualified faculty team, with all members holding M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. degrees with an average experience of more than 20 years.

The laboratories are equipped with advanced tools and industry-standard software such as Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx, Ansys, MATLAB, and LabVIEW to support cutting-edge research and practical learning. These facilities provide students with hands-on experience that complements theoretical learning.

In a significant academic-industry collaboration, the B.Tech. Electronics and Communication program is now offered in partnership with eInfochips, an Arrow company—further enhancing the industry relevance and practical exposure of the program.
