Associate Executive Dean, Core Engg. Programs
Dr. Vikram M Patel is working as Associate Executive Dean – Core Engineering Programs (GUNI-FOET) and Professor – Civil Engineering at GUNI-UVPCE. Before joining UVPCE once again, he was associated with Adani Institute of Infrastructure Engineering (AIIE) as Principal & Professor, SVBIT – Gandhinagar as Principal, and BSPP as Head – Civil Engineering. He was working with UVPCE from September 1997 till June 2006. Prof. Patel is having very rich experience of consultancy, professional training, student teaching & research for more than two decades.
Prof. Patel completed his BE Civil in 1996, ME Structure (CASAD) in 2003 with Gold Medal and PhD Civil in 2011. Prof. Patel has completed ten certificate courses from Harvard Business School, Harvard University, Massachusetts, U.S. He has completed Project Management Professional – PMI Boot camp. He is IGBC Accredited Faculty.
He has completed more than 15 consultancy projects, one GUJCOST funded research project and one Adani Dredging funded research based consultancy project.
He is member of board of studies at GTU, SP University, Visnagar and Ganpat University. He has received Pedagogical Innovation Award from GTU Innovation Council, Certificate of Appreciation from Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) & ISES and active participation certificate from Ural Federal University of Russia. He has also received Golden Educationist of India Award from IIEM, New Delhi. He has received best paper award for paper in International Conference “CEME” at New York, USA.
He is member of managing committee of GICEA (2018-2022) and Executive Member of Indian Building Congress (Gujarat Chapter). He has published / presented more than 40 papers in repute journals and conferences. He is editorial board member and reviewer of national and international journals. He has guided three PhD students and guiding three Ph.D. students along with few master’s students.
