Eligibility

Passed Bachelor Degree or equivalent in relevant field from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)

Program Outcome

PO1

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2

Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3

Design solutions for complex technical problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4

Perform investigations, design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret the results to provide valid conclusions.

PO5

Select/develop and apply appropriate techniques and IT tools for the design & analysis of the systems.

PO6

Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO7

Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1

To enable the Post Graduate (PG) students to be competent enough to tackle any problems related to their profession, be it in industry or in higher studies and research. (Preparation)

PEO2

To provide the PG students with solid foundation in mathematics, science and engineering to solve PES engineering problems and also to pursue research in the appropriate technological context. (Core competence)

To prepare the PG students with strong scientific and engineering temperament to work individually as well as in teams to comprehend, analyze, design and create acceptable solutions for the real life problems. (Breadth)
