Welcome to the Department of Petrochemical Engineering at U.V. Patel College of Engineering. The department of Petrochemical Engineering started in 2019 and has made outstanding progress in a very short time span. We have strong faculty base who have strengthened the Petrochemical Engineering Department. It started with an intake of 40 students. Currently we are having more than 100 students in total. 

The department is committed to provide quality technical skills of petrochemicals that are relevant to the industry. It concentrates on high academic standard backed by strong syllabus designed by the combined efforts of academic and industrial experts. The focus of the curriculum in the department is to impart technical knowledge to students, promote their development & problem-solving skills and innovation of new technologies. 

The department has highly qualified faculties with rich teaching experience from eminent institutes, state of art laboratories and infrastructures.  The laboratory facilities and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded and are well supported by the institute. Over the years, interaction with industry and the emphasis on applied engineering has increased. The students are trained in core areas of Petrochemical/Chemical Engineering, allowed to work in a team in laboratory work and industry-based projects with total relevance to course content. Ample of jobs are available for Petrochemical/Chemical Engineers both in private and public sector companies. The students are placed in various sector of engineering like oil and gas industry, fertilizer industries, etc. after completing B.Tech in Petrochemical/Chemical Engineering. We provide a vibrant & creative learning environment for our students.
