Welcome to the largest department of U.V. Patel College of Engineering that offers B. Tech. Programmes in Mechanical Engineering and M. Tech. Programmes with specialization in Advanced Manufacturing Systems &  Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing(CAD/CAM). The department has a rich tradition of technical and research and is widely recognized to be the pioneer in Mechanical Engineering education in North Gujarat.

The laboratory facilities and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded and are well supported by the institute. Over the years, interaction with industry and emphasis on applied engineering has increased. Students of the department are actively involved in various extracurricular activities and extension activities. A group of students are participating in a national SAE BAJA competition and won remarkable prizes. Students of the department are the leading members of the team ROBOCON.
