Program Details

Mechatronics is a word originated in Japan in 1980s to denote the combination of technologies which go together to produce industrial robots and automation. A formal definition of Mechatronics is ``the synergistic integration of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computer technology, and IT to produce or enhance products and systems.’’Department of Mechatronics Engineering was established in the year 1999, with the objective of imparting quality education in the emerging field of Mechatonics Engineering.

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

    Graduate will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and determine the solution of Mechatronics Engineering problems using relevant knowledge.

    Graduate will demonstrate an ability to design a hardware /software components or process as per need and requirements of the industry.

    Graduate will demonstrate an ability to analyze, implement, test and improve technological solutions to any real time problem related in the field of Mechatronics Engineering.

    Graduate will demonstrate skills to implement the available latest technologies and software related to recent trends in the Automation industries.
