Dr. Gaurang Joshi is an Associate Professor and Head – Industrial Relations at Ganpat University, with over 12 years of experience in academia, research, industrial consultancy, and innovation. His expertise includes advanced manufacturing, welding and fabrication, friction stir welding, digital manufacturing, and industry–academia collaboration.

He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), Gandhinagar, a top-100 NIRF-ranked university, and completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar—an institution of national importance under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

His academic and research contributions include numerous research publications, book chapters, copyrights, and design registrations. He has also guided and mentored Ph.D., postgraduate, undergraduate, and start-up projects.

At Ganpat University, his focus is on strengthening industry partnerships, research and development, innovation, internships, and creating meaningful opportunities for students and faculty through strong industry–academia collaboration.
