Profile
Dr. Trivima Sharma is an Assistant Professor at Ganpat University with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Ehime University, Japan. She is a recipient of the prestigious MEXT Fellowship (2010) awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (Japan), and has recently been honoured with the BioE3 design Challenge Award from BIRAC. She has extensive international research experience, having worked at globally reputed institutions such as Purdue University, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and the University of Calgary. Her research expertise spans plant molecular biology, genetic transformation, and tissue culture. At Purdue University, she contributed to a USDA-funded project focusing on wheat transformation and optimization of regeneration protocols. At Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, she worked on duckweed transformation for biofuel applications and assisted in RNA library preparation for next-generation sequencing. At the University of Calgary, she worked on improving transformation efficiency in Brassica napus and screening wheat mutants for drought tolerance. She has published 6 research papers, including two first-author publications in international plant science journals, and has presented her work at international conferences in Japan and the USA. She also teaches Plant Tissue Culture and is actively involved in advancing plant biotechnology research.
