Smart Microgrid Lab
The smart Microgrid include solar panels, a battery bank, and the main utility grid to provide reliable power to a UVPCE Admin office load. Solar panels generate DC power, which the inverter converts into AC power for the building while also charging the batteries through MPPT control for maximum efficiency. During low sunlight or nighttime, the battery bank supplies stored energy through the inverter to continue powering the loads. The system also supports bidirectional power flow with the utility grid, allowing excess solar energy to be exported to the grid and additional electricity to be imported when solar and battery power are insufficient. MCBs are included for protection and safe power distribution, making the setup an efficient and dependable renewable energy solution.
