What is SAE?

SAE (Society of Automotive Engineer) which globally gathers all individual in field of automotive world under which event like M-BAJA, E-BAJA, SUPRA etc. are organized.

What is M-BAJA?

M-BAJA is basically a competition of design, analyse and manufacture an ATV. It is organised by SAE in North America, Brazil, Korea, South Africa and India. In India it is sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and SAEINDIA.

What is E-BAJA?

E-BAJA is organised in INDIA. Ideated by the Late. Shri A P J Abdul Kalam. E-BAJA is competition of design, analyses and manufactures an ATV that runs on electric system.

What is ATVC OFFICIAL 2020 Event?

The Third season of Aravalli Terrain Vehicle Championship, powered by Infi-league Motorsports is a National championship earmarking all the techno freaks across the country. This season of the grand and challenging dune buggy championship targets more than 100 teams with over 3500 participants who are aspiring engineering undergraduates and diploma holders of a recognized institution.

How Team is selected?

UVPCE started SAEINDIA UVPCE COLLEGIATE CLUB in 2012 and so continuing its legacy, UVPCE in 2018 registered at BAJA SAEINDIA with 50 members under its wing. The team was formed after taking the aptitude test and 35 members were shortlisted and after the final interview a total of 23 members were selected under the guidance of Faculty Advisors: -Prof. Haresh A. Patel and Expert from Mechanical Department. The team was named “SHATASHVA” which was derived from Sanskrit word “SHAT” means “100” and “ASHVA” means “HORSE “which together means “THE POWER OF 100 HORSES”.

How we work further?

After team selection procedure the Designing of ATV is started, Baja SAE provides the rulebook accordingly a modeller designs the ATV, comparinglast year performance and breakdowns and designing o1f new ATV is done by department vice and there are certain department (i.e. Suspension, Steering, Modelling, Power-train, etc) and respective experienced members made head and instead they discuss their knowledge and strategies with new members and likewise designing is done. All design is done keeping in mind the various rules and regulations given in rulebook. After that a ppt is made and presented at Chit Karauniversity, Punjab,  university conducting the virtual presentations for around 360 teams from all over India and from that around 180 team for either Pithampur event or Ropar event. After this with certain rank we get qualified for events given to team. 

How we Manufacture our ATV?

After the result, either selected for event we again verify the design according to the rules given to us and same for other teams. Modifications in design are made if there is change in rules or better decisions in design and some compromise according to avability of product. Here skill work is must and efficiently as well as precision work is must accordingly work of ATV is submitted to the students and facility is provided by university for different manufacture work done in premises.  In 6 months, the ATV gets ready for event and inventory is taken with it for Pithampur event for breakdown or other manufacturing procedure.

EVENT SCENARIO:

There are many static and dynamic events at the competition site.

The static events include sales presentation (Investor Convincing Presentation), Cost Event (The cost of all systems & sub-systems of the car chart), Design Evaluation, Go green Event (Eco friendly special system), Technical Evaluation.

The dynamic events include Brake test, Acceleration test, Manoeuvrability, Suspension Traction, Sled-pull and Endurance of 3 hours continuous.
