Profile

Prof. Manan Thakkar joined U. V. Patel College of Engineering in 2019 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering. Prof. Manan completed his M. Tech. in Computer Engineering in 2016 from the same institute, and his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2014 from Government Engineering College, Patan - a Gujarat Technological University (GTU) affiliated institution. His outstanding academic achievements have earned him a Gold Medal for securing the 1st rank in the Computer Branch at Ganpat University, as well as for overall scholastic performance among all branches of the university. With over 6 years of teaching experience, Prof. Manan has become an invaluable member of the GUNI family.

Prof. Manan Thakkar brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Computer Engineering department. He is an expert in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Big Data Analytics, and Python programming. He is also interested in C, C++, JAVA, HTML, CSS, Computer Networks, Java Script, Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, NoSQL, and many other such domains in the Computer and IT engineering fields. He always loves to get in-depth insights into the subjects at hand, and is resolved to bring the same zeal in mentoring the students. He has guided more than 30 projects at the undergraduate level and more than five at the postgraduate level, showcasing his expertise in teaching and research. Prof. Manan has also been in charge of Ganpat University's Center of Excellence in AI and ML. Additionally, he has attended more than 10 seminars and workshops and organised more than 6 workshops, STTPs, FDPs, etc. for both faculties and students. He conceptualized the idea and formed a Project Club in order for the students to better understand how the software industry works.
