A Professor in EC engineering with more than 37 years of academic & a year plus of industrial experience. I have specialization in Optical Networks. During this period, I have established the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Nirma University right from the inception including UG and PG programs. Some of the highlights include setting up of laboratories, curriculum development, enhancing industrial relationship for project and final placement for both UG and PG programs. Responsibly led the department twice for NBA accreditation and contributed towards NAAC accreditation of the University.

A.     Preparation of roadmap for department building in consultation with industrial experts, R&D organization and academic experts

B.     Faculty development – Deputation of faculty for acquiring PG and Ph. D qualifications, for training programs in industries, R and D organizations and premier academic institutions

C.     Setting up of PG programs to address the need of the industries – VLSI Design, Embedded System Design and Communication Systems

E.     Establishment of model structure for UG and PG programs
