Prof. (Dr.) Chandresh Patel has been with UVPCE since 2002. He earned a B.E. Civil from GEC, Modasa in the year 1994 and a PG degree from L D College of Engineering in 2009 with Gold Medal. He pursued his Doctorate from Ganpat University in 2017 and addressed flood hazardous problems of Surat city in aid of soft computing techniques. His research interests include hydrology , fluid mechanics and applications of GIS in water resources management. He mentored large number of undergraduate , post graduate and Ph.D. scholars. He authored numerous high-quality research papers in prestigious national and international journals and conferences. He played key role for designing syllabus, establishment of laboratories and other academic and administrative work of the department. He actively participates in the consultancy and provided technical solutions to the problems of government, non government,  private sectors and PSUs across the state.
